Wondering if any one has taken a look at this dispensa. It's for Francisco's daughters Maria Jauregui, and Cathalina Chaves. It's very long
And I do not know what it says. I did not see any trees can someone please help.
It is in Katy's dispenses matrimonios 1690-1695, 1707,1709. 249-283 of 620 film 167980. You have to go into the 1700's to get to it, the 1600's indexes doesn't give you the right one.
Thank you much Lisa
dispensa de banas

This is a request for 'dispensa de banas', actually it is two dispensas. The first (images 249-257) is the marriage dispensation for Luis de Carvajal and Catalina de Chavez and the second is for Juan Sanchez de Paez and Maria de Jauregui. It appears that their father Juan Francisco de Jauregui is opposed to his daughters pending marriages. If I read this correctly Juan Francisco, As described by one of the witnesses, is wreakless and fearless "...es un hombre de terrible y grande condicion y temerario y que sabe que a tirado y tira acabarar los matrimonios de sus hijas" and the fact that one daughter just gave birth and the other pregnant and close to "full term" seems to have set-off Juan Francisco and either he caused that the two grooms be jailed in Mexticacan or the two ran off and later were apprehended by the Mexticacan official (regidor) either way they escaped from jail and sought sanctuary in the Mexticacan parrish church.
The handwriting for the most part was difficult for me to read but from what I could make out there isn't any genealogical info. that helps add to the Jauregui ancestry.
