We have a deceased relative, and she is an enigma.
She lived near León in Guanajuato, but may have originally been from Jalisco. She was born after 1930 so she won't be found in the 1930 census. We cannot even find a civil birth record for her. Prior to the 1950s, she doesn't exist digitally.
Relatives living in Guanajuato aren't interested in genealogy so in-person archival searches are ruled out until a trip is planned.
There are many fascinating stories and myths told by older relatives about her, and her parents and grandparents, but they are simply stories. There is nothing concrete available - even her parents' names cannot be confirmed.
Despite this obstacle, I believe I may have found her parents and older siblings in records living circa 1895-1930 in Jalisco (south of Guadalajara in the Jocotepec area), using resources on ancestry and familysearch, but I cannot be sure it's her family. Their names roughly line up (not perfectly, for example: the name we have for her mother lines up instead with this family's maternal grandmother).
Also, the facts I've discovered about this family are reminiscent of some of the stories I've been told about this relative's parents and grandparents. But again, without more recent evidence (her place of birth and proof of her parents' names would be an excellent start), it's all just speculation.
What resources are available to search for more recent relatives (1930-present) aside from ancestry and family search? Those whose archival footprint isn't yet fully digitalised?
She would have lived in Guanajuato, Jalisco and also perhaps Michoacán. (I'd rather not use her name in open posts due to privacy concerns.)
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you.
