I've tried several times but I can't get connected to worldconnect.
What is the url? I've tried http://www.rootsweb.worldconnect.com but
it doesn't work.
Once you get the opening page, enter a surname and given name in the field. It will give you a list of people with that name. Click on the one that you feel might be one you are interested in. When the page for that tree opens, you can check the different options on the tabs at the top "Index, Ahnentafel", etc. This will only give you the Ancestry World trees on Rootsweb which are free for viewing.
In order to view the " by subscription only" One World Tree at Ancestry.com (they include the WorldConnect and other trees they have "captured" from various sources) you have to subscribe to that database or you have to go to a Family History Center that has the full subscription to Ancestry.com. However, I don't like the way you have to view those trees. They don't seem to have the Ahnentafel view that shows the generations in order, plus I don't think we should have to pay for viewing trees that otherwise would be free.
I have the link to my Francisco Olague World Connect tree in the files for Ranchos. If you click on my link, it will take you to the Ahnentafel view which shows Francisco, and six generations of his ancestors in Salitrillo and Marecito (from the Tepetongo film) Zacatecas.
