Hey everyone,
I just recently wrapped up my law school finals for
the second year, so I have some time to catch up where
I left off. Specifically, I wanted to renew my
request for any information anyone may have on my
great great grandparents, Pedro Pineda/o and Pioquinta
Cardoza.
Their son is my great grandfather, Nicanor Pineda, who
married twice in Tlaltenango, according to marriage
records (for 1903 and 1914) I've found. It's from
these records that I was able to determine Nicanor's
parents' names. The problem is while these records
indicate that Nicanor Pineda was a "ciudadano" or
"originario de" Tlaltenango, I have not been able to
find a baptism record for Nicanor Pineda/o in
Tlaltenango in all these years.
Aside from my Pineda research research, I've largely
been successful, if anyone's interested, in tracking
down my Cantu, Ramirez, Hale, etc roots in Nuevo Leon
and Tamaulipas, and to some of the Spanish landgrant
families of South Texas.
Thanks,
Chris Pineda
