Joseph, thank you for adding your files.
As you know my aunt by marriage, Virginia Banuelos is decended from Jacinto Banuelos and Maria Bartola Cipriana de la Torre through thier son Jose Antonio Banuelos, I did not have her parents in my files. Can you tell me where you found an approximate date for her birth in Jerez? Is the Banuelos family from Tepetongo or Jerez?
It's still exciting after so many years of researching to find another ancestor taking the line back another generation..
thank you again, Linda in B.C.

the limited Banuelos research i've done is in Tepetongo. I will need to
defer the question about M. Bartola cipriana de la Torre to Rosalinda
Ruiz who has studied this much more than I have.

Banuelos was New Files Added To Folder http://www.nuestrosrancho
Hi Linda--
I found a record for a Bartola Sipriana de la Torre on familysearch.org. The place and date for this person makes me think that she is the same as the wife of Jacinto Banuelos-- this suspicion is very strong. I have not absolutely proven this, however. I have not yet located the marriage record for Jacinto and Bartola, as it is one of those missing from Jerez. I have tried looking at the films and have never found it; it either was destroyed or has not yet been filmed. Thus, I only have a strong feeling, but considering the uniqueness of the name and the location, I do believe Christobal and Maria to be her parents. I cannot go back any more generations for Jacinto until I find a record of him-- I do know that he and Bartola had children in Jerez, then Tepetongo, and they later lived in Huejucar, but no earlier trace of him has been located. Who Jacinto's parents were continues to be a mystery, although I think he does descend from the larger Banuelos family of Zacatecas.
