information about Atoyop, Jalisco wanted

Hello
I am looking for information regarding the town of Atoyop in Jalisco.? I am also looking for information on Blas Cruz Cruz who was born there.? I am unsure of where to go for further research.? I can not find the town on any maps of Jalisco and this man would have been born between 1930 and 1945.? If any one can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

I agree with Francisco that the town you are looking for is Atoyac, Jalisco. 1930 to 1945 is too recent to find any information in any of the online databases (familysearch.org). You will have to get back to at least the 1920s so that you can search for the person in the 1930 Mexico census. Did this man cross the border into the U.S.? In that case, there should be a border crossing record for him that will hopefully list his birthdate and parents' names. Did he have a social security number and is now deceased? If so, if he is related to you, you can request a copy of his social security application which will list his birthdate and parents' names.

Ideally, if you have the names of the parents of this Blas Cruz Cruz, you can probably find their information in the census or perhaps even their baptism records in the LDS databases and then you will be on your way.

Of course you can try finding him by manually searching the civil registry or baptism records of Atoyac for the relevant time period, but that would be a very labor-intensive process which can probably be avoided by availing yourself of one of the above strategies.
