Hi George. The single asterisk marks attention to where a family tree or definition of kinship is found in the record; a single or double asterisk in the absence of such tree or definition, marks a personal note relating to my interest and research.
Thanks for the reply. The single asterisks are helpful!
I have found the artwork and design of some of the family trees quite interesting. It is so easy to get involved in all the names and dates, and not "look" at the documents as a whole. Sometimes the handwriting is very interesting. It is especially nice to find a document where one of our ancestors actually signed it. The ornate signatures of some of the notaries also adds interest to the document.
A question about your notes
Claudia
In your notes some of the records are marked with * and others with **
Do these have some significance from the record, or are they personal notes?
