Thank you Armando for your reply.
I have several Santiago De Pedroza in my family tree. the one I'm having dificulty finding is the parents for Santiago De Pedroza born in 1595 (place unknown) married to Juana Bautista De Alba Y Retamosa born in 1599 or 1600 (place unknown). I'm thinking that they came from Spain

> John Hogenesch, John Isaac Murray (These are the two instructors)
> "Each of our cells contains nearly identical copies of our genome, which provides instructions that allow us to develop and function. This course serves as an introduction to the main laboratory and theoretical aspects of genomics and is divided into themes: genomes, genetics, functional genomics, systems biology, single cell approaches, proteomics, and applications."

> It sounds far too scientific for my liberal arts background but there may be some of you that will want to consider it. It begins October 15th and is 12 weeks long. It states that you will need to devote 6/8 hours of study per week. For those of you that sign up and complete the course they will provide you with a certificate upon completion. Santiago De Pedoza
Nobody knows for sure where this Santiago de Pedroza was born. Don Mariano González Leal wrote that he was probably born in Lagos de Moreno but he doesn't cite a reason for this belief. He could have been born anywhere in Mexico or in Spain. If more people in Mexico and in Spain did Y-DNA testing and genealogical research then you would have a chance of determining his paternal lineage. Due to the limited number of people in both countries that do both studies your chances are very limited, albeit not impossible.
