I would like to see if someone could help me out; for the Following record for Felipe Canal (married Benita Figueroa in Oct 28, 1827) in Union De Tula,Jalisco,Mexico - https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/JCFC-W5B . I am trying to find the original image for that record.
I an looking at Jalisco's Catholic Church Records under "Unión de Tula, Nuestra Señora del Rosario" and I see that it only goes far back as 1828. With a quick google search I see that the church was establish in 1828; so where would that 1827 record come from? I am assuming a nearby church, is there any way to tell from the records info:
Indexing Project (Batch) Number: M60264-1
System Origin: Mexico-ODM
GS Film number: 634739
For film # 634739 I found an index saying: "Location: Bautismos 1828,1832-1850, via Film/DGS: 634739" and I found the daughter's record (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1-19033-46364-8?cc=1874591&wc=…). Does the Batch number get me anywhere?
Digging for original image
Your record must be in film 634739, Unión de Tula, Nuestra Señora del Rosario, "Bautismos 1828,1832-1850". Chances are the film also includes somewhere some marriages from 1827, even if it is not indicated in the description, you just have to go over the roll page by page.
If you go to image 100, for example, you will find baptisms from 1818, and on image 150 form 1822. These don't correspond to the original description of the roll. By image 250 you get to marriages from 1823, so your record must be a little further ahead.
