I was trying to contact you, but I do not think the e-mail link at Nuestros Ranchos is working. What is the best e-mail address that I can reach you at to talk about genealogy?
Oh wow! I also just sent you a message from the site profile contact page a few day ago. (I guess it also didn't go through.) It had to with the Velasquez line that you are a part of and you have written 2 different snippets in a couple of different forum posts a few years back.
Although I'm just getting around to asking about the family, I found out a few months ago that I am a descendant of Blas Velasquez and Micaela Mendoza through their son Joseph. Joseph moved and married in Ocotlan, Jal. in 1727 and a lot of his descendants seem to have stayed in that region for many generations. I was stuck on one generation under Joseph with his daughter Josepha Velsaquez, my 7x greatgrandmother, for a few years. I finally came across the really faded Marriage Informational for her in a disorganized collection of other Marriage Informational jumping back and forth between 1755-1757 in La Barca. (Marriage records for La Barca during the 1730s-1770s didn't give the couple's parents name)
Anyways I am now at standstill at Blas but have seen that you have his parents information and at least a few other generations. Can you help me out? my email is paul_gonzales91@yahoo.com
I guess it isn't working since I have not received any responses. I have found a lot more information on the Covarrubias ancestry and I was hoping to turn it into a chart and discuss this information before presenting it. Try sending your contact info again. I think one of you already has my email.
When is the next genealogy meeting in Southern or Northern California? Maybe I can present it then.
