I just came across this term in a baptism record of an ancestor. Does anyone know what specifically it means and how it's different (if it is) from regular unmodified "padrinos"?

I am trying to get a copy of Antonio de Aguayo's will. Antonio de Aguayo was a soldier in Nuno Beltran de Guzman's 1531-32 expedition to the area that became Nueva Galicia.

On pg 41 in the middle right after (Hijo Legitimo suyo y de Flaviana Larra....fosa de 3rd Clase por 5 anos en el panteon municipal....)
