My Spanish is limited and I have found something curious. Mateo Alviso and his son Calixto Alviso had back to back dispensas done and I need help with the translation.
I am researching my maternal 5th Great Parents Joseph Martin de Peña and Maria Rufina Ximenes. They were married 08 Nov 1761 in Nuestra Senora de los Dolores, Teocaltiche, Jalisco, MX.
I looked and looked for something about the history of Villa de San Diego de Leon, in Guanajuato, where Juan Villalpando was born, and I finally found an article about it.
Thank you all so much for the imput on the Villa de Leon vs. the Villa de Conil. I found the doucment!! however im unusre if the page is torn or its folded...help anyone with deciphering.
My father who is 76 yrs old (GGparents from Chihuahua) and my uncle is is 93 yrs old (GGparents from Sonora) and my father in Law 70 yrs old (Teocaltiche, Jalisco) have agreed to do DNA testing.
My great grandmother was Loreto Bais. Born in Mexico somewhere around 1868, she eventually settled down with a Tereso Sifuentes (born around 1865) somewhere in Zacatecas.
I think there is a lot of confusion here about DNA, how it's tested, and how to interpret our results. I hope that the below will clear up some confusions...
Many thanks to the responses from George, Patty, & Alicia.
