gran padres. Ellos casaron 12 Mayo 1828 en Guachinango, Jal. Los padres
de Catarina: Joseph Ygnacio Aguayo y Maria Josefa Rodriguez. Catarina fue
nacido en Cuautitlan, Jal. 12 Mayo 1812. Ygnacio fue nacido en Nochistlan
en el 8 Feb 1759, hijo de Antonio Francisco Aguayo y Maria De La Ascencion
Torres. La familia Aguayo vivia en el Rancho Aguayo, acerca de Nochistlan.

Estimado Señores:

Me surgió la duda sobre la ascendencia de Fulgencio González de Ruvalcaba o González de Hermosillo por el lado materno. Jaime Holcombe según sus notas puso que Fulgencio González de Ruvalcaba casado con Josepha Sánchez de los Hinojos era el 15 de diciembre de 1686 en Aguascalientes, era hijo del capitán Joseph González de Ruvalcaba, el padre está bien, pero a cuanto la madre Holcombe puso Ana González Florida hija de Francisco Muñoz de la Barba y Catalina Gutiérrez Rubio me surge la duda aquí.

En mi libro que se publicará pronto encontrarán un partida matrimonial del tenor siguiente

“15 de diciembre de 1686
Fulgencio González de Hermosillo hijo lexítimo de Joseph González de Ruvalcaba y Ana de Hermosillo vesinos todos de la villa de los Lagos aviendo el contenido presentado licencia de su parocho y certifiación con Josepha Sánchez de los Hinojos hija lexítima de del capitán Nicolás Fernández de Palos y Leonor Sánchez de los Hinojos vesinos de esta jurisdicción. Testigos el capitán don Francisco de Lomas, alcalde maior, Nicolás de Aguilera, Alcalde hordinario y Alonso Navarrete.’

Aquí nota que Fulgencio utilizaba Hermosillo también conocido cualquier González de Ruvalcaba o González de Hermosillo, lo he visto solo como González varias veces. Era hijo de Joseph González de Ruvacaba y Ana de HERMOSILLO. Según la genealogía que da Holcombe esta Ana "Gonzalez Florida" ni tiene nada que ver con Hermosillo.

Según Holcome es lo siguiente Ana González Florida era hija de Francisco Muñoz de la Barba y Catalina Gutiérrez Rubio. Estos últimos de Juan Muñoz de la Barba y Ana de Espíndola; Francisco Gutiérrez de la Vega y Ana González Florida.

Si se fijan todas las partidas de los bautismos de los vástagos de Joseph González de Ruvalcaba y Ana González de Hermosillo (o como conocíamos Florida) nunca menciona Ana como González Florida solo González salvo el último bautismo que nos da luz, el bautismo de Ana bautizada en Santa María de los Lagos el 23 de marzo de 1651 hija de Juseph Gonçález de Ruvalcaba y Ana Gonçalez de Hermoçillo. Ahora quiénes son los padres de Ana de Hermosillo o Ana González de Hermosillo?

Aunque respeto el trabajo que ha hecho don Jaime Holcombe me pregunto cuánts líneas hubo confusión o sin comprobación. Esta línea es importantísima es parte del núcleo de los alteños.

No reliable complete index exists of the Colotlan baptisms of the early 1800's -- not on Ancestry, not on FamilySearch, not in the church books themselves. I discovered this when I found records in the church books that I then tried to find using Ancestry and FamilySearch indexes, and many of them were not in any index.

While our family has a great many names in Colotlan, the immediate need was for Marquez baptisms in the early 1800's, which will be followed by the need for baptisms a generation earlier.

So I realized that the only way to find all the Colotlan Marquez baptisms was to go page by page and record by record through the hundreds of pages of church books and make a spreadsheet of all the baptisms of children of a Marquez parent.

That spreadsheet is now available at http://www.wwjohnston.net/famhist/#mexican -- be sure to read the "About this spreadsheet" worksheet. The work is not yet done, so that there will be more updates as time allows for the research.

Hello - looking for assistance from the Yanez Family line of Nochistlan, Zacatecas.

Joseph Yañez-Pérez was my 6th great-grandfather (circa 1686–1751) married to:
Antonia Anciso (circa 1690-?)

Joseph was the son of Juan Yanez del Monte (1640s-1673) married to:
Thomasa Úrsula Pérez de Frías (circa 1650-?)

Thomasa's father was Matheo Perez De Frias (circa 1626–1693) married to:
Thomasa de la Cruz (circa 1629– ?)

I am trying to determine the true parents of Matheo Perez de Frias. In a couple of ancestry sites, I have seen the parents noted as:

Luis Delgadillo Perez de Frias (circa 1598–1649) married to:
Melchora de Los Reyes Rodriguez de Carvajal (circa 1604–1656)

However, I do not have proof of this. Does anyone in this forum have documentation to prove this? Or do you know who his parents might be if not Luis and Melchora?

I am new to the forum and researching various family members in Mexico. My question today is around the Yanez family in Nochistlan, Zacatecas. My ancestors include Gonzalo del Monte (circa 1650) and Jose Maria Yanez (circa 1800). I am curious if anyone knows the origins of the Yanez family. Did they come from Spain or Portugal? If anyone has anything they can share, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I just found out that my Corchado branch settled in Las Moras, a ranch next to Aguajes. Apparently the child was born there....but also it seems that they/the family might also have lived in la hacienda de buenavista....can anyone help?

En el Pueblo de Teocaltiche, en 17 de abril de 1716, se entregaron los autos y diligencias al contrayente para solicitar la dispensa del impedimento que resultó de segundo grado de afinidad por cópula ilícita. 7 fojas."

En ella se menciona a un Cristóbal de la Cueva, que es primo hermano de Manuel Marín, por ser hijos de dos hermanos. Revisando mi base de datos encontré que hay una mujer llamada Margarita Chávez Fragoso, casada con Domingo de la Cueva. En base a esa información, creo que es posible que Teresa Chávez sea hermana de la mencionada Margarita Chávez, y por tanto hija de Pedro Chávez Fragoso y Margarita López. No lo tengo comprobado, mas digo que puede ser una pista importante para todos aquellos que descendemos de dicha pareja.

Is anyone out there researching the Información matrimonial films for Zacatecas, ZAC?

If so and if you just happen to come across any references to any Puente, Puentes, or Del La Puente can you let me know. The missing 160 years of Baptism films for this area has created a serious brick wall for me and any help would be appreciated.

ancestry.com lists my 7th great grandparents names as antonio posada and maria quiros. however in family search area they lists for hints as a antonio pacheco and maria quiros. hints are located for area of morela, guanajuato, mexico. the child is my 6th great grandparent known as maria manuela posada who had married josef martin guillermo. or did maria quiros my 7th great grandma also marries a man named antonio pacheco afterwards?

searching for parents of jose maria lisola/lizola as noted in family search records.. he is married to maria rita auhumada or aumada. child maria antonia who married victor velos is my 5th great grandparents. maria rita ahumadas parents were phelipe aumada and michaela de la veas. would like to know where they are from and anything about them as the records are vague in family search. thanks

I've just returned from walking the land of my grandparents with the surnames of Luna Herrera. It was breathtakingly beautiful. Of course, I was left with only tons more questions.

It is located within a very healthy walking distance from Cicacalco, but many of my own relatives (Lunas) came to settle from Tepechitlan.

Does anyone know about this "rancho"'s history? It is very large - and easily sustained hundreds upon hundreds of families back in the 1800's, but an exodus seemed to occur in the 1900's (my own grandparents came to escape the revolutionary war), but many more came to the U.S. for economic reasons.

Would love to learn how this incredible large parcel of land called "rancho aguajes" came to be....who were the original settlers, etc...

El rancho Los Aguajes esta localizado no muy lejos de Cicacalco, tengo entendido que los que vivian en el rancho caminaban a Cicacalco para los bailes. Tambien esta situado no muy lejos de Tepechitlan (donde la familia Luna llegaron) y de Tlaltenango.

Alguna persona sabe sobre la historia de este rancho? Es muy grande - y parece que mantuvo muchos familias durante 1800's, sin embargo durante 1900's muchos empesaron salirse a E.U. Mis abuelos eras unos de los primeros que nunca regresarons - se fueron durante la guerra de revolucion, sin embargo parece que muchos mas vinieron por razones economicas.

Me encataria sabe como este rancho tan grande que se llama Los Aguajes llego de "ser" - quienes eran los que habitaron la area, etc....

While reading an informacion matrimonial that contained consanguinidad en tercero con
cuartro grado. Two of the testigos claim that "conocio bien a toda la familia incluso el tronco que lo fue, Francisco Dias". What does "el tronco" mean in this context?
Is Francisco Dias the head of the family or the relative they have in common?

This time, I'm researching my wife's ancestors, and I'm trying to find the location of this town called San Francisco, I assume, in Jalisco.

Antonio Martinez and Maria Merced Ramos were married on March 16, 1872 in San Ignacio de los Encinos (now Degollado). It mentions that at that time, Degollado was an auxiliar parish of Ayo el Chico (now Ayotlan). Both Antonio and Merced are mentioned to be from a place called San Francisco "en este partido".

I can't find any San Francisco's around Degollado. Can someone more familiar with that parish tell me if this place's name changed over time or any idea where is it located at?
