Haplogroup A ancestor---we are a match

Well, as I've said before, I can't do this test at all because me mum wasn't Hispanic. If I have one of my male cousins do this, would I get some usable answers if his mother is my aunt or his father my uncle? In other words, if my cousin Humberto did it, his mother is my father's sister or if my cousin Bobby did it, his dad was my dad's brother, which would be the better candidate? Marge V:)

Welcome to the tribe. Now I have to look up all the material you have in the Ranchos
database. My grandmother's data is below.

Even though I said that we shouldn't be surprised, I am. Amazing.

Arturo......it seems that I match four of your six
mutations.  Does this mean we are related 'way 'way back?
Linda.....I also match four of yours.  Victor.....I don't have your numbers
but I am pretty sure we share a few also.  I haven't had a chance to do
much more on this but hopefully I will after the holidays.

I have traced my strictly maternal line to a Josefa Magallanes born

really pushing up the production of the mine in Bolanos and brought

Records Preservation.

Hi Elvira:

I'm impressed about of how you was described your "odyssey" to contribute for preservation the church records of San Juan de Guadalupe, Durango (many years). Your experience surely help us to understand that, not all people know the importance of this, but you report us a very relevant tips to solve the problem that you has had, and us could have.

1) Your persistence was successful.
2) You say a guy that help you (and could help others, I think): Benicio Sanchez, that you say is the President of the Sociedad Genealogica del Norte de Mexico. Is not a good idea that you proved us the contact with him?
3) When a archive is microfilmed, the access to it is too much more easy (you expend your time now to go another places that no microfilm is available, but for San Juan de Guadalupe, Dgo., you only go to the FHC to see their records).
Thanks for share your
marvelous experience. There are a large information in the www, regards "Preservation of Records" the following

Title Registros civiles del municipio de San Crist?bal de la Barranca, Jalis

Joseph,

The FamilySearch website, is undergoing some upgrades. There has been
a possible date of later on this month, for when it is to be
completed. Basically, when the screen comes up, saying no film
notes, you just need to reload the page until, the notes button will
come up. It can take about 2 or 3 times.

Big Thanks to Carol, Helyn, Marge, Maria and Mickey

thanks much to Carol, Helyn, Marge, Maria
and Mickey for volunteering to have their files moved to Ranchos2. This
has given us some breathing room for the rest in Ranchos1 to "expand"
and flesh out their genealogies. Remember we should be occasionally
adding to our work. It's like anything else if you bring up your
research to the group from time to time we'll pay better attention when
we do our individual research.

thanks again Carol, Helyn, Marge, Maria and Mickey.
