no I don't think that will be possible. I'm deleting your folder as
well. I think a better option would have been to go "no email" rather
than Unsubscribe yourself but you know best. Come back in the future if
your time opens up, but have your genealogy in hand as i'll need it to
resubscribe you.

thanks,

Joseph,
Thank you for the kind words
about the work I do on extraction. Joseph, I have a problem that I hope that you
could  help   with. When I am doing the names on the records I
often find strange names and spellings. I had a baby name book for naming kids
and I wonder if there exists such a book for Latino kids. I thought that a phone
book would help so I got one for a local city that has a lot of Hispanic
families. There seems to be a limited number of first names and surnames. I need
a better source. For example, I found a name that looked like "Eulalio Chuc" . I
have never seen the surname "Chuc" or "Toco" or "Andurate" Moratalla. I am doing
a church in Argentina and I guess the names are different or I am not that
familiar with "Oligalla Zulipata". See, I am not sure if such names exist or if
I am not reading them right. If I knew or had seen names like that, then I would
recognize them like " Jose", "Juan" or
"Julio".       You are a helpful person and
if

May 12th is the first of the 2005 Hispanic American events
being held at the National Archives.  (US).  The National Archives
needs to know that we care about our history.
Our history is
embedded in the National Archives, but the rich abundance of materials
that reveal our presence has not been fully gathered and indexed.

The SHHAR quarterly meeting on May 21st will be a presentation
by UCLA Pprofessor, Dr. Guillermo Hernadez.  His topic, the historical
Corridos of Mexico, folk ballads of the people.

DECIDED TO INCLUDE ALL THE TITLES

lots of side branches, but some of them are not related as in the wives
of some my relatives. . .If I had the information there on a baptism
record I would record the wives parents names as well.

The way you can check my direct line and the various surnames that
contributed to making me. . .go to Antonio Diaz Puentes (my Dad using
the American style of naming) and click on his parents their parents
their parents their parents etc.

it should look like this Puentes: My Dad

then Puentes Diaz: My Grandparents

then Puentes Gonzalez and Diaz Santa Maria: My Great Grandparents

then Puentes Varela and Gonzalez Gonzalez and Diaz Torres and Santa
Maria Espinoza: My Great Great Grandparents

then Puentes Torres and Varela Banuelos and Gonzalez ??? and Gonzalez
??? and Diaz Leanos and Torres Marquez and Santa Maria Miranda and

Espinoza Lugo: My Great Great Great Grandparents

and then Puentes Sanchez and Torres Marquez and Varela Sandoval and
Banuelos Sanchez and Gonzalez ??? and

...I'd say that is just the beginning of a gedcom.  It is not unusual to have several thousand on your geedcom & if you get hooked you could easily go much higher than that.  I have barely begun my husbands side (April 2005) and it already has 1200.  Now I won't even mention how many I have on my side cause then you would think I have no life other than genealogy research...smile.  I will state that those that do hang in my Tree, have at least one verifiable document (birth, marriage, death, census, will, land record, etc) for that person.  I am on a quest to obtain a photo of each of them, which I know is impossible but it something I'd like to do so when I finally put it all together in book form it sure will make for a more interesting read.  Hope I haven't scared you but once you get hooked, it's hard to stop.....

Joseph,

That was very interesting about your Gedcom.  I don't know anything about those.  I started looking at the list of all the people on your  Gedcom, and I realized there are 1,610 individuals in there.  Who are all those people?  And this is just on your father's side!!??  Are they all your ancestors---your gggggg-grandparents, their siblings, and in-laws and all their descendants too?

Off-Topic: Hidalgo (do not reply on list)

do not just click reply to this email in replying to me!
Email me separately so it will not go to the whole group. . .Off-List!
thanks

---------------------

this is an example of how you can email the group with a rogue message
completely off topic.

I have a person who contacted me asking questions about Hidalgo
research. I've about exhausted the little I know and was wondering if
anyone in the group is familiar with Hidalgo? Or if you know someone or
a group that might offer my Hidalgo contact some guidance? Any
direction would be appreciated even if its the name of a paid
genealogist as this info might be of interest to this person.

PLEASE email me with any responses off list as this is way off topic,

joseph
