I'm trying to put together a family tree about my grandmother Maria Soledad Gutierrez.....born 1901 (?) in Arandas or Guadalajara, Jalisco area.....her parent were Jose Gutierrez and Emilia Camarena.

I apologize if there is a list of abbreviations used in the Catholic Church parish registers in Mexico, however, after some searching I haven't been able to locate one.

you see i have an ancestor who sometimes is refered to as antonia avila and other times as catalina cid. have anyone else here had the same problem?

It's taken me some time to fill out my family tree, but I've updated and it posted on here today. I see that there are a lot of descendants of Antonio de Ortega Maldonado.

I have been researching Victoriano Ramirez off and on and only had success indirectly. I have his fathers' name and the father's three brothers and a sister. I have his mom's brother's name and her parents, grandparents, and so on, but not her name. I have tracked the Lopez family in san miguel el alto and his father in the vicinity of San Julian.
