does anyone here understand what the results of the rare snp utility of gedmatch mean?

i tried out that tool and put the setting on 25 chromosomes showing both heterozygous and homozygous results. that results were kind of confusing. here's the copy/paste of the results. can anyone make sense of these results?

Now I am more stunned that I just realized that Ed Serros, one of the
members of this website has already found my GGGGG Grandfather Blas Madera
and I copied the part in what he wrote on one of my past posts:

"I too have family from the areas you describe. For what it is worth, I
have repeatedly found the Madera family not only in Huejuquilla el Alto but
in the nearby town of Mezquitic, Jalisco. The marriages and baptisms of the
Maderas in Mezquitic date back to at least 1686 (Mormon film numbers
1164940 and 1164952). I suspect this is the same family since these towns
were all frontier land back then. The elite (well-to-do mestizos, criollos,
and the rare peninsular) all intermarried; distance was not a major issue
but "class" was. It was preferable to marry a non-NAI. The ultimate prize
for a criollo family was to marry a peninsular but it was OK to marry
another criollo or well-to-do mestizo (re-labeled "espanol"), near as I can
figure from my review of centuries of records in the local area and books
that I have read. Bottom line: I think we are talking about the same Madera
family, with branches thereof. Also by 1686, at least one of the Madera
family members, Blas Madera, so
n of Joseph Madera and Josepha Basquez, was labeled as mestizo. He married
into the espanol Avila family: wife Maria Theresa Avila, daughter of Miguel
de Avila and Gertrudis de Robles, both "espanoles." The Robles and Madera
family continued to intermarry for at least a century or two."

Thank you Ed Serros! That is the Blas Madera who is my GGGGG Grandfather
and to confirm it the wife is Maria Theresa Avila.

So Blas Madera is the son of Joseph Madera and Josepha Basquez? That gives
me another generation to make them my GGGGGG Grandparents.

I am also curious about Pedro Huizar and Maria Magdalena Navarette who are
from Valparaiso and the parents of my GGGG Grandmother Maria Leocadia De
Huizar.

Ronnie,

This is my line. Independently, as historians or researchers we must prefer
primary sources, as in documents that were made in the moment of the event.
Thus, a marriage record is primary due to the fact that the marriage is
occurring before the priest. A dispensa would be considered secondary,
though it can be primary if a witness actually knew the ancestors and had
information pertaining to the ancestry of an individual. Could you pass the
link where I can study this dispensa? I am interested. I have already found
numerous dispensas with major errors, others with only some mistakes; for
the most part they are very reliable.

I descend from Nicolas Diaz de Tiscareno in the following manner, just to
mention a couple of generations:

Castaneda
Coronel Simon de Medina y Diaz de Tiscareno cc. Trinidad de Urrueta y
Velasco

This last couple married on 9 November 1814 in Guadalajara. Couple more
generations down and you reach my father.

Daniel MdTC

hello, thank you. My?maternal line lived in Tamazula, Jalisco and Michoac?n
before that. My gr-grandmother and Daniels gr-gr grandfather were
siblings?but Daniels maternal line was from los Altos.? My paternal family
was from Jerez, Zac but my Castanon line was from Valparaiso where they
left in mid 1700's for Jerez. I have not been able to locate any records
from Valparaiso so if you find them please let me know.

Thanks Linda for following my posts and giving me your advice.? Interesting
what you tell me about your family so your family is from the Lagos area? I
know where that is since I have passed by there on bus and also on car.

You should have seen how I felt as soon as I turned the page to the next
one and began? to read and the first words "Joseph Francisco Madera"? I
froze and my heart jumped.? I immediately read the rest of the paragraph to
look for "Maria Leocadia De Huizar" and sure enough her name is there to
verify it is my GGGG Grandfather Francisco Madera.

Also I saw the name "Blas Madera and Maria Theresa Abila" as the parents of
Francisco Madera and they are from Mesquitic.? Then saw the names Pedro
Huizar and Maria Magdelena Navarette, Espanoles as the parents of Maria
Leocadia Huizar and from Valparaiso.? ? I was saying to myself??
Mesquitic?? Valparaiso? What????

I was assuming my ancestors were one of the original founders of the
village of Huejuquilla El Alto, Jalisco, Mexico which was founded on March
23, 1573 as stated by the Government of our village.?

But now I am beginning to wonder some of the Ranchos surrounding
Huejuquilla were formed in the early 1700's?? Probably the parents of
Francisco Madera came over from Mesquitic to found Rancho De Los Maderas
and the parents of Maria Leocadia Huizar came over from Valparaiso to
settle in another nearby rancho.

Regarding Mesquitic?? If your traveling from the South side towards
Huejuquilla, Mesquitic is the last village before arriving to Huejuquilla.
In between Mesquitic and Huejuquilla is the Hacienda of San Antonio.

On the south side of Mesquitic is a very tall mountain where the small
village "Monte Escobedo" is way up there and from Monte Escobedo's point of
view when your travedling down the mountain towards Mesquitic,? Mesquitic
looks tiny from a distance.? And it is kind of scary the road when your
traveling down the mountain.? I wonder how in colonial times the people
from Monte Escobedo traveled down the mountain towards Mesquitic?

I also know very well Valparaiso since I have passed by that way many times
to go to the city of Zacatecas to be with the family of my female partner.?
Her family is from downtown of the city of Zacatecas.

Ok...now going back to the topic.? I am asking myself, were many of the
ranchos formed during the early 1700's around Huejuquilla?? I would have to
locate a registry that recorded that information during that time period.?
Did Blas Madera/Maria Theresa Abila and Pedro Huizar/Maria Magdalena
Navarette live in Huejuquilla?? I would think yes so then I can locate
their defunto records that must be sometime after the year 1760 because in
the matrimonio of Francisco Madera and Maria Leocadia De Huizar of 1760,
when their parent's names were mentioned it seems as if they were present
at the Matrimonio.? So my instinct now would have me look into the defunto
records after 1760 to see if I can find them and that would give me the
name of another generation of people if the "Cura (Priest)" wrote down the
name of the parents.

Another thing that was going through my mind was Pedro Huizar/Maria
Magdalena Navarette, who are from Valparaiso.? I would think they are the
same age as the kids of "Don Fernando De La Campa y Cos"? who is from "La
Hacienda of San Mateo" that is near Valparaiso.? And since Pedro
Huizar/Maria Magdalena Navarette were classified as Espanoles from
Valparaiso, I wonder if they had contact with the Conde Don Fernando De La
Campa Y Cos (1676 - 1754)?

Subject: Fojas Perdidas

Hi Joseph,
The Hispanic Heritage Project has just started a project called “Fojas Perdidas.” We as researchers will come against a wall where the paper trail has come to an abrupt end where there are no records. Our quest is to find those records.
For those of us who are doing Hispanic research in Mexico, we use FamilySearch, which is our greatest source of information. We are eternally grateful for the work that the Utah Genealogy Society has done in microfilming the Catholic sacramental records as well as the Priest who diligently recorded that history. We likewise are indebted to FamilySearch in digitizing those records and continuing imaging more records and having access to those images online.
What most researchers are not aware of is that when the Utah Genealogy Society microfilmed the parish records, they filmed the copies that were kept in the diocese. As is the practice, the Church requires each parish to create two copies. One is kept at the parish and the other sent to the diocese archive. We have found that sometimes not all the copies made their way to the diocese and are still in the parishes not yet filmed or imaged. These are the missing records we shall find and image. In a few cases there were small parishes that were not filed at all. Our goal is to identify those fojas perdidas and work to get them online.
This requires a small pueblito. We have a volunteer camera operator to image the records, but we need volunteers to create tables of content of the images that are online. Then the camera operator can use it to identify the missing records so they can then be imaged and made available on FamilySearch. Since one of the areas we are looking into is Jalisco we are hoping maybe Nuestros Ranchos would join our effort. Give it some thought and if you think that is possible please give me a call.

Two Offspring of Pedro De Huizar/Maria Magdalena Navarette(Valparaiso) Married into My Madera Ancestors (Huejuquilla)

I am just finding out new information and just realized that Pedro De Huizar and Maria Magalena Navarette of Valparaiso had two sons that married into my Madera ancestors:

In 1760, Maria Leocadia De Huizar with Francisco Madera
In 1784, Justo De Huizar with Polonia Casilda Madera

Polonia Madera is the daughter of Lazaro Madera/Juana Micaela Perales. Lazaro Madera is the brother of Francisco Madera both of whom are in Rancho De Los Maderas at that time. Maria Leocadia de Huizar resided in Rancho Ximulco.

Here is a copy of the marriage between Justo De Huizar (Valparaiso) and Polonia Casilda Madera (Rancho De Los Maderas):

http://oi61.tinypic.com/21n1pnb.jpg

Source:

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1-18449-5393-26?cc=1874591&wc=…

And in the census (Padrones) of 1828, Polonia Madera was 66 years old and also lists some of the people with "Huizar" surnames right under her name. This is from Rancho De Los Maderas:

http://oi61.tinypic.com/28lchdz.jpg

Source:

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1-18448-6102-19?cc=1874591&wc=…

So then Marcelo Madera, who is the son of Lazaro Madera/Juana Micaela Perales, is the brother of Polonia Madera. He is listed first on the list.

Hijo lejitimo digo de padres no conosido

I have commonly seen the term "hijo de padres no conosidos" which I understand.

I occasionally see the term "hijo lejitimo digo de padres no connsidos." What does this mean? If the child is legitimate, why are the parents' names not given?

The records I am researching are baptisms of Indians in the 1800-1815 period. "Padres no conosidos" is very common, perhaps more than a third of the baptisms.

Delgado, Chevarria, Martin Chaves

I'm reguesting a lead on Bartholome Delgado and Francisca Merquelin Chevarria my 9th Great grandparents. They married on April 3, 1701 in Pinos, Zacatecas. I have their marriage dispensation that provides their parents names Francisco Delgado and
Petra Martin Chaves and Francisco Merquelin Chevarria and Juana Delgado y Valensuela.

Marriage Dipensation Guadalajara, Diocesis de Guadalajara, matrimonios 1700-1705 Source number 168605/159-162.

Through information from Nuestros Ranchos I also have validation that when widowed Francisco Delgado married Juana Delgado y Valensuela in 1700 at Pinos, Zacatecas.

I would appreciate help in finding documentation to continue my tree!

Matrimonio of Lazaro Madera/Juana Micaela Perales 1758 Huejuquilla El Alto

Found the matrimonio of the Lazaro Madera and Juana Micaela Perales in the year 1758, Huejuquilla El Alto, Jalisco, Mexico.

Lazaro Madera and Juana Micaela Perales are the "maternal" ggg grandparents of my grandfather "Antonio Madera Madera" since my paternal great grandparents are Calixto Madera De La Paz and Maria Clemencia Madera. So that makes Lazaro Madera and Juana Micaela Perales my gggg grandparents through side of Maria Clemencia Madera.

Here is part of the copy of the matrimonio in 1758:

Lazaro Madera is the son of "Blas Madera and Theresa De Abila"

This is great because now I found another generation "Blas Madera" to keep backtracking.

In 1783 Lazaro Madera passed away from a lightening strike. His wife Juana Micaela Perales passed away at the age of 68 in 1804.

The son of Lazaro Madera is name Marcelo Madera and in the census of 1828 Marcelo Madera is first on the list as the owner of Rancho De Los Maderas.

I am still trying to find who the parents are of Francisco Madera. Francisco Madera is the paternal ggg grandfather of my grandfather Antonio Madera Madera. Francisco Madera and Maria Leocadia De Huizar are my Paternal gggg grandparents.

Francisco Madera/Maria Leocadia De Huizar
Lazaro Madera/Juana Micaela Perales

Are the same generations of paternal and maternal ggg grandparents of my grandfather Antonio Madera Madera and they are my gggg grandparents.

Ancestors of Victoriano Ramírez López, "El Catorce"

Estimados primos y colegas:

Can someone tell me what is a Morifco? The clasification of Lazaro Madera in 1758

Oh my God! This is shocking? What is a "Morifco or "Morisco" As I am trying to look up that information since this is the first time to see that word classified on one of my relatives from the past in 1758. Here is part of the copy of the matrimonio of Lazaro Madera and Juana Micaela Perales in 1758 and I put an arrow over that word:

Lazaro Madera Defunto 1783 caused by Rayo (Lighting) Rancho De Los Madera

OMG!

I found this document of defunto on how Lazaro Madera passed away caused by a strike from lightening. It's common in our village that people out on their ranches get hit by lightening. Even to this day!

Carlos, Thank you. I posted that information in 2012 hoping to discover if it was good information or not. Your response and information was worth waiting for. I appreciate it.

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone else came up with this MtDNA haplogroup.  I've read a little, but apparently, this is fairly common from SW Native American groups and northern Mexico down through Jalisco where it's even more common.

We are retiring Mundia

I just received this email from Ancestry.com

We are retiring Mundia

Over the years we have built up a variety of products that enable our users to discover, preserve and share their family history.

We recognize that there are a lot of ways that we, as a company, can make family history easier, more accessible and more fun for people all over the world.

In order to do this, we need to focus on our core offerings to ensure we’re delivering the best service and best product experience to our customers. To that end, we’ve decided to invest more aggressively in our core Ancestry.com business and plan to retire the Mundia service.

Starting on September 5, 2014, Mundia.com trees will become part of Ancestry and be available in English, French, German, Italian, Swedish and Spanish.

We understand the value this service has brought you in discovering your family history around the world during your time as a member. To keep the discoveries you’ve made, we will be making your family tree accessible to you through Ancestry.com for free. This site will enable you to make edits to your family tree and share it with others.

To preserve the family trees you have created in your native language, we encourage you to download your GEDCOM file while logged into the Mundia site before September 5, after which time your family trees may not be offered in your native language on Ancestry.com.

For further questions, please visit our FAQ page or contact Member Services at support@mundia.com.

Maria Leocadia De Huizar wife of my Great Great Great Great Grandfather Francisco Madera

I found the defunto of the wife of my great great great great grandfather Francisco Madera. Her name is Maria Leocadia De Huizar, "Espanola" of Rancho Ximulco (Jimulco) She passed away in the year 1813 and she was 80 years old. Which then would mean she was born in 1733. Her husband Francisco Madera is the one that is from Rancho De Los Maderas but she is the one from Rancho Ximulco. See first pic. To prove to you she is the wife of Francisco Madera see second pic where Francisco Madera and Maria de Huizar had a son name Juan Venancio Madera, "Espanol" in Rancho De Los Maderas in 1762. Then third pic is where my great great great grandfather Juan Venancio (Benancio) Madera had his son Patricio Madera in Rancho Ximulco in 1792.

This is great because now I can go back to the year when she was born in 1733 and look for her baptism record there. I am still trying to find the document when Francisco Madera passed away.

Second Pic:

Third Pic:

And the defunto of the sister of Patricio Madera by the name of "Dona Francisca Maderas, "Espanola" Rancho Ximulco who passed away at age 23 in 1808:

http://oi60.tinypic.com/2304yf.jpg

And here is the census of the year 1830 of Rancho Ximulco where it lists Patricio Madera at age 39. His wife was Tomasa Munoz.

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1-18448-6691-33?cc=1874591&wc=…

But then later on Patricio Madera had another wife by the name of "Maria Dimas De La Paz that was born in 1819 who was 27 years younger than Patricio. My great grandfather Calixto Madera is the son of Patricio Madera and his second wife "Maria Dimas De La Paz" who is 27 years younger.

Matrimonios 1752 of Huejuquilla Curious about the drawing of bird in book

I am still trying to find the defunto record of my great great great great granfather Francisco Madera whose wife is Maria Leocadia De Huizar.

So I am trying to look in the matrimonios and my estimate of when they got married would be sometime before the year 1762 when then had a son name Juan Venancio (Benancio) Madera, Espanol.

I started in the year 1752 and my curiousity is the drawing of a bird the author of matimonios book made. Trying to go into the mind of the author? Did he draw it based on a bird he has seen and where did he see it.

"Le Pasaron Por Las Armas"

While researching my paternal side, I came across a list of over 20 men and it just says, "Le pasaron por las armas" I looked for a translation it appears that all these men were executed under a firing squad. It was around Jan 1812. Was this still during the Mexican War of Independence and can they be connected. Can anyone please shed some light.I included the link to image.
