Covarrubias

Hello my Nuestros Ranchos Family, I need help finding the parents of Francisco Xavier Covarrubias who was married to Ysabel Avila 30 May 1770 in Tlaltenango. He was married previously to Getrudis Zaldana. I suspect his parents were Augustin Covarrubias and Ana Peres de Texeda, but not sure, need Proof. I have checked the baptismals and the marriage information only goes up to Feb 1770.

Help!
Many thanks, Lisa

Death Certificates

Dear Group,
Is it possible to view TX death certificates dating 1980 and 1991 free online?  I've got the death info--dates and place--from familysearch, but no images available to view.  Other than that, I only find online sites that require fees.
Thank you so much for your help.   Alice

Gracias/Thanks Indexing Project at 50%

Thanks to the 15 people that committed to joining the indexing project.
I was looking for 5% and got 2.5% is it possible that there are another
15 people out there that would care to join in the indexing project? Be
patient with me I'll be asking for just a few more emails and then
settle for what we have. I would like 15 more people to join us in
committing 30 minutes per week to this indexing project for the states
of Jalisco, Zacatecas y Aguascalientes.

Aguascalientes.

gracias,

joseph

Padres de Pedro Macías Valadez

Hello everyone,

I have read in a few places that Pedro Macías Valadez, who married Luisa de Villegas, was the son of Nicolás Macías Valadez and Leonor de Retamosa. Is there anyone that can tell me which document verifies this?

Gracias y saludos,

Lorenzo Carrillo

Welcome, Lorenzo! I'm glad you started your genealogical research early.
It is a wonderful lifelong hobby. I started when I was 8. Now I'm 68.
Wow! Sixty years of research and I'm still going strong. I know that I
could never get bored with it. Best wishes to you for many years of
productive research.

Big trouble in little namiquipa

I have been trying to research my mothers side of the family and can't find anymore info than I already know. Ok, my great grandfather's name. Was librado lorta. His whole name was librado lorta tena , but when he became a citizen , he was obligated to change "tena" to his middle name. He was born in namiquipa, chihuahua on 8-17-13. He had 2 older siblings : Salvador and Ana(Anita) . I have checked through all of ancestry and family search and can't find anything other than the 2 border crossing records from 1925 and 1932. He was crossed over by his 2 tias Maria Concepcion tena and Enriqueta tena ( Vargas was her married name) and i have nothing in them either. My grandfather died in 2006 before I got into the whole genealogy thing. But my grandmother ( his wife) is still alive and I talk to her almost every day. She says he never really knew his parents. " family legend" has it his parents nameswere "santana"(father). And "refugia" (mother). His mother died in child birth around 1916 and his father died of hypothermia around 1920. He was orphaned by the age of 7 and was out on his own. He and his sister Anita immigrated to the us in the 20s but I can only find records of him crossing. It's too weird. I need some tips on new place to search or just a new approach plan. Thanks, Lorenzo.

Gracias
Su Amigo,

Sergio Gutierrez

Where Else Can I Search

Okay, I've searched just about everything online for a particular ancestor that I could find. All of the online LDS stuff, which is basically the Catholic Church records they have. I am looking for the birth of Enrique Chavez.

I have the following information and I'm wondering where else to look. I've found everything from the 1930's Census, I have his tombstone photo, his marriage and his kids births document. But not his birth. I have his wedding document of 1904. In this document it says that he is 45 years old at the time of his marriage. I think this is a mistake by the priest. It should have been 35 in 1904, if he in fact was born in 1870. The tombstone shows he was 92 at his death in 1960, which is yet another year of birth.

Enrique Chavez was said to have been born to Jose Jacinto Chavez and Maria Guadalupe Ruiz De Esparza. These two were married in Aug 1872, yet Enrique was born in 1870 or earlier! Previous to this marriage, Jacinto had been married to Maria Guadalupe's sister, Maria Estanislao. That marriage began in Jul 1863. I have births from this first marriage all the way up to 1870. Subsequently, births began in 1873 with the new wife about 8 months after the second wedding. I have documents for all the births except Enrique!

I have the wedding document for this second marriage and it shows Jacinto as a Viudo (widower) and it even lists his first wife by name. However, the document shows that the first wife had been dead for 18 years! Not bloody likely, according to the documents I found.

Is there a any place else I can look for records? Maybe the city where he was born?

Henry Chavez

Apellido Macias- DeAnda from Teocaltiche, Jalisco

Looking for info on Gaspar Macias and Antonia DeAnda my GGGGGG grandparents. I believe they were married about 1680 in Teocaltiche since their first 4 children were born in Teocaltiche, Jalisco

I have been researching my DeAnda ancestors back to my GG grandfather RAFAEL DE ANDA married to Ma. Encarnacion Pedroza 1832 in Encarnacion de Diaz, Jalisco. I now have found Rafael is son of JUAN JOSEPH GREGORIO DE ANDA b. 1753 married to Maria de Jesus Peres 1783 in Encarnacion de Diaz, --Juan Joseph is son of JOSEPH ANTONIO DE ANDA b 1726 married to Ma. Gertrudis de Cuellar 1752 in Aguascalientes, Ags-Jose Antonio is the son of MIGUEL MACIAS DE ANDA b.1688 in Teocaltiche and married to Beatris Munos Hermosillo 1715 in Aguascalientes, Ags. Miguel's parents are GASPAR MACIAS and ANTONIA DE ANDA married abt 1680. I was surprised to learn that my DeAnda surname came from Antonia DeAnda. I do not know why their children chose to carry the DeAnda name instead of Macias
Any info would be appreciated,
Gracias
