I found on the website of AGI various services such as Microfilm duplicate, but not if you can afford from Mexico and digitally send me these two documents (Census).

Hi,
For the past 5 years I have put in countless but unsuccessful hours searching for the baptismal records of 2 aunts. Today my cousin told me that she was told that they were baptized in a "fort" in Aguascalientes. Does anyone know of a place that fits this description? What type of records would I look for?

The last change made to Mexico Catholic Church Records collections took

Hello everybody,
I just wanted to give a big shout out to this site and to my primo here who helped me set up my account. If it wasn't for him and everyone on this site, I wouldn't have been able to get so far with my research.
As a non-Spanish speaker, researching has been a bit difficult. So I just wanted to thank everyone who has been so generous and kind.
I love this site and am always referring back here, to either search the archives for past forum discussions for topics that relates to things I am currently looking for or for new topics that are currently being discussed.

Maybe I've been asleep at the wheel, missed an issue or two here, or something. Can someone tell me when and why the FamilySearch.org site took the online copy of their microfilm records for Aguascalientes' church El Sagrario off line? I have 300 years (or more) of family in that church and it's now back to microfilm access only.

So frustrating to have to go back to the microfilm and nights at the local FHS (not to mention paying for more film transport) after this wonderful access.

Cómo puedo localizar documentos relativos a su ordenación?

Habría sido en Guadalajara pues era de la región del sur de Jalisco. Sé que existen listas de sacerdotes en otras diócesis, por ejemplo la de Barcelona, de donde viene otra rama de mi familia.

I just wanted to let you know I have finally published my genealogical work on my father's family from Nueva Galicia.

The Gonzales, Calvillo, Ramos, Alva, Macias and Flores families immigrated to Azusa in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles, California in the early 1900’s. These families and their descendants came from various towns in Nueva Galicia which covers the span of nearly 600 years.

The towns involved include Aguascalientes, Asientos, Calvillo, and Rincon de Romos in Aguascalientes; Teocaltiche, Santa Maria de los Lagos (Lagos de Moreno), San Juan de los Lagos, Ojuelos, and Jalostotitlan in Jalisco; Nochistlan, Sierra de Pinos and Villa del Refugio (Tabasco) in Zacatecas.

There are 246 surnames and these families are listed alphabetically. Common surnames include Alva, Calvillo, Carrillo, Chavez, Delgado, Delgadillo, Fernandez de Palos, Flores, Gonzales, Lozano, Macias, Oliva, Perez, Ramos, Romo de Vivar, Rubalcava, Ruiz de Esparza, Santos, Saucedo, Texeda, Tiscareno and Ximenes just to name a few.

Hello,
My name is Tina Eley and new to the group. I have been doing family research for a few years but now since retirement am able to devote more time to it. I have found so much information on my family that it is difficult to comprehend how large the family was.
The names I am currently researching are Hernandez or es, Chaves, Murillo, Arias, De La Torre. This would be my Mothers side of the family.

I do read some spanish but this has forced me to study it a little be more. The writing on the baptism and marriage records is so difficult to read and then there are so many abreviations.

I am currently looking for Pedro hernandes Gonzales Baptism record which I can not find on family search. It must be there but several of us have tried finding with no luch. It would be in Tepatitlan De Morelos, Jalisco, Mexico. His father was Andres h
Hernandes and mother Floretina Gonzales. My genealogy report is in the following folder.

Hello!
I am reading and trying to understand what this abbreviation means in this baptism record. It looks like "Esp" and I am not sure what that is abbreviated for. I do see it in a few other records, but not a lot. Can anyone assist?

Here is the link to FamilySearch. It is on the bottom of the left side of the page for Joseph Bisente Roman, after it says his name "Joseph Bisente" and before the abbreviation for "son". I am thinking it is for illegitimate? But I am not sure.

With so many new Internet resources for genealogical research, I want to go beyond the dates and focus on giving readers the opportunity of sharing their personal and family histories on Somos Primos.

In support of that goal, I can recommend a very comfortable approach for everyone . First Writes, triggers memories and recall with a series of unfinished sentences. More than ten year ago, I participated in a class at our local senior citizen center. I really enjoyed it and ended up finishing the class for the teacher, who was not able to continue.
First Writes consists of 40 topics with about 20 questions in each unit.
The materials were developed as a method to gather oral histories among senior citizens in Wisconsin, but they are universal, and with some adaptation could be used with all ages. View the 40 topics and samples of four units which can be downloaded for free.

My genealogy research is at a stand still right now. In my family they never talked about there origins or family and so it is hard to find out where my family comes from. I just receintly found out from looking at a birth certificate that my grandfather Celso Lara Luna was born on aug. 6, 1896 in Logas de Moreno, jal. I do not know if he had any brothers or sisters, I don't even know his mother and father's names. He married his wife, Candelaria L. Martinez b. about 1906 in what I think is aguascalientes. (my dad said his mother didn't know her birthdate because her father never told his children when they were born, so I am assuming she has siblings.) Celso and Candelaria moved to the states, I am assuming around 1930 because their first child was born in El Paso, tx in 1932. If anything sounds familar to you please get in contact with me. My name is Ashlynn Marie Castaneda. I joined a few weeks ago, but didn't
get a chance to introduce myself while finishing up classes. I just
graduated college last week and am taking a year off for an internship
before going to law school. I'm hoping to use this time to further my
ancestral search. I'm focusing on my female line right now since my dad is
not nearly as interested or as excited as my mom by searching for records.
I'm hoping to find the marriage record and parents of Apolonia de Mendoza
and Jose Ruvalcaba. I believe they're both from Encarnación de Díaz. They
would've been married somewhere between 1800 - 1820, I'm guessing. They
probably would've been born around 1800. I only know they're names from the
marriage record of their child that I descend from. Hopefully, someone will
be able to assist.

My GgggggGrandpa Thomas Ramires and Maria de Guerta were married on Jan 29, 1749 in Zacoalco de Torres, Jalisco Mexico. I found this entry on Family Search https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/JCFC-RQV
but cannot find it on the microfiche rolls. I tried going to the following link

Looking for family information for Consuelo Renteria Fernandez. She was born about 1908 in Citala, Jalisco. She lived in Sayula with her son in 1930 census. She became a school teacher and later a headmistress in Guadalajara. She died after March 1988, likely in Guadalajara, as that was the last communication the family had with her youngest son Armando. Her older son Alejandro Renteria Becerra was a physician and immigrated to the US in 1954. She had traveled to Nw York in the 1960s and early 1970s to visit him so there should be some civil record of her.

Estoy buscando información del linaje de los apellidos Colores, Torres,
Contreras y Correa . Estoy interesado principalmente el linaje de mi
tatarabuelo Jorge Colores, a continuación describo los eventos de la vida
de mis ancestros:

1. Jorge Colores, posiblemente originario de Peñon Blanco Durango y
posiblemente nació entre los años 1860 a 1865 aproximadamente, se casó con
Liarada Contreras, es la única información que tengo de ella y él.

El hijo de Jorge Colores y Liarada Contreras fue: Mariano Colores nació en
1882 originario de Ojocaliente Zacatecas México y murió en el año de 1958
en Milwuakee, Wisconsin USA.

Mariano Colores (1882-1958), se casó a los 19 años de edad, el día 09 de
Noviembre de 1901, con María Jesús Torres teniendo 16 años de edad,
originaria de Ojocaliente, Zacatecas. Los padres de María de Jesús fueron
Luis Torres y Lorenza Correa. Los abuelos paternos fueron: Francisco
Torres y María Nieves y Los abuelos maternos fueron: Antonio Correa y María
Guadalupe.

Es importante mencionar que estos apellidos de Colores y Torres proviene
del Rancho San Ramón municipio de la Blanca Zacatecas. Mariano y Maria de
Jesús emigraron a USA de jovenes de aproximadamente a los 23 a 25 años de
edad.

Notas de la boda: se casaron en la Santa Iglesia Parroquial de Ojocaliente,
Jorge Colores padre de Mariano Colores ya estaba fallecido en la fecha de
celebración del matrimonio de su hijo.

Los hijos de Mariano Colores y María Jesús Torres fueron:
