Thank you. My most recent Batres is Macaria Batres, born 10 Mar 1872 in Fresnillo, Zacatecas. She was the daughter of Cleofas Batres (dead by 1906) and Maria de Jesus Almeida (born 1855 in Fresnillo), who were married in 1874 in Fresnillo. They had 10 children that I could find, including Macaria, my great-grandmother.
Cleofas Batres’ parents were Zacarias Batres and Petra Garcia. I know nothing more about them than their names from subsequent marriage and baptism records.

I have both Macias and Balades in my direct family lines.
Most recent is Maria de la Luz Eduarda Valades, married to Josef Eugenio de Herrera in Rincon de Romos, Aguascalientes on 2 Jul 1797.
Maria’s father was Pablo Santiago Valades, married to Maria Josepha Bartola de Lira on 28 Sep 1757 in Cienega de Mata, Jalisco.
Pablo’s father was Blas Valades, who died by 1757. Blas was married to Antonia Moreno.
I do have a Christobal Macias in my direct line. Christobal was the son of Manuel Macias and Maria Lopez (which name appears in the dispensa you referenced and who was dead by 1719). Christobal was born in Aguascalientes, Aguas. He was residing in Celaya, Guanajuato in 1719, the year he got married to June 2 to Phelipa de la Cruz de Sierra in Celaya at Nuestra Señora de la Purísima Concepción. I don’t have information on where his father Manual or his mother Maria were from.
Christobal had two children that I have found, Maria de la Encarnacion Macias and Mathias Macias. Matias was born about 1723 and Maria was born in 1725 (baptised 26 Mar 1725 in Celaya).
I am very intrigued by the shared name of Maria Lopez. Could you send me a copy of the dispensa please? From the quotation you cited, it seems that Maria Lopez would indeed have been the grandmother to any child of Christobal, since Maria Lopez was his mother. However, the quotation is a bit confusing since it seems like Maria Lopez is the illegitimate daughter of Christobal Macias. I’d love to review it directly. I’m excited to think we’ve made a connexion!
