Gonzalez Guerra ó Guerra Gonzalez en Lagos de Moreno

Hola,

Does anyone know the patriarchs or early information
of these families mentioned above? I have Juan Asencio Ponce
de Leon as the earliest 1600, and have the three Isabel Alvarez
del Castillo each namesakes, 1550, 1575, 1600 and a Juan Alvarez
del Castillo 1600. Not sure how theyre related to this Juan?
And im so confused about the Navarro Gaytan family in the 1500s-1600s.

Thanks,
Daniel

Maria Ignacia Alonzo

Maria Ignacia Alonzo was the mother of Andres Alonzo; his father is not named in the documents I've found. Andres married Maria Josefa Teresa de Jesus Sandoval, 8 Jan 1810 (Aguascalientes), and according to the marriage records (marriage certificate and matrimonial investigation) was born about 1789, in Aguascalientes. The matrimonial investigation names only his mother and not his father.

I have not been able to find a baptismal record for Andres.

There is a baptismal record for a Maria Ignacia Alonzo, 23 May 1768, Aguascalientes. Which suggests she could be the mother of Andres, but this is only circumstantial.

I have not found a death or burial record for Maria Ignacia, but she died prior to Andres's marriage in 1810.

Does anyone have information that proves the link, or provides other evidence that Maria Ignacia, baptized in 1768, may be Andres's mother?

Help translating a baptism entry/ayuda con la traduccion de acta de bautismo

Hello everyone,
I have been unable to read some of the handwriting from a baptism entry from 1864. I was hoping someone with a better eye would be able to decipher what parts that I couldn't, or correct what I translated. The translation and photo are here:

http://www.nuestrosranchos.org/node/18827

I'm not sure of two names--I think they are "Blaso" and "Reina", but am also interested to know what the text reads in full.

The baptism is for Jose Maria Gonzalez, born on 7/7/1864 in La Villita de San Jose (La Villita), near Jalpa.

Gracias
Arturo

Gamez-Tobon & Martinez-Trejo

Hello,
I am trying to find my father's family lines. I have been searching for months but can't find anything.

my grandfather is:
Eduardo Gamez
born 1927 in (we think) mexico D.F. but we aren't completely sure. My parents had someone helping them with the geneology back in 2005 who submitted an GEDCOM file into familysearch.org but this info was never verified so we don't know that it is 100% correct.

his father was:
Manuel Gamez Tobon
born approx 1900 my dad said he thinks he is from Tehuacan, Puebla, Mexico NOT Mexico D.F.

his mother was:
Guadalupe Garcia
born approx 1902 but they do not know if she is from Tehuacan or D.F.

My granmother is:
Clemensia Martinez
I found her in the 1930 census in Guanajuato, Jerecuaro, Chahuita and on the census it says they are from Guanajuato.

Her parents are listed as:
Ladislado Martinez born approx 1873.
Tomasa Trejo born approx 1886.

If anyone could help me I would really appreciate it.

Thank you
Julia Gamez Friend

Please help me understand IGI process

I am pretty unfamiliar with the IGI process. I have searched the films and have gotten a lot of information. My question is do I need to write to the churches to get copies of the original or if I go to a library with the IGI information will I be able to order films that have a copy of the original documents or will the library have more information available?

Thanks in advance for an explanation.

El Puesto de San Miguel DE LOS ALBA

While I was in Mexico several years ago I looked desperately this place. Anyone familiar with the area know that there are several "San Miguels" in the "nuestros ranchos" area. I went to all of them. Or at least I thought I did.

It wasn't until I came back to the U.S. did I come in contact with a distant cousin who happens to be a historian for Encarnacion de Diaz. I'm extremely thankful to him for the help he's given me and for his research. He also helped me find THEE San Miguel mentioned in my ancestors records. I also have photos if anyone is interesed. I hope this information can help someone else doing research in the same area.

If you have ties to this place or have more data on it's inhabitants during the 1600s please conatct me. This the part of my research where I have hit a dead end.

The following is an exerpt from an email my cousin Arq. Rodolfo H. Hernandez Ch sent me:
==================================================================

San Miguel de los Alba is located at the foot of the cerro de los Gallos, in the current municipality of Encarnacion de Diaz, and it is not the same San Miguel that is mentioned in the Llanos del Tecuan, neither is it the same San Miguel that you located in a map and belongs to the state of Queretaro.

El puesto de San Miguel de los Alba was founded at the beginning of the XVII century, when it belonged to Alonso of Alba, married to Doña Leonor de Retamosa, daughter of Nicolas Macias and Leonor de Retamosa who were proprietors of extensive lands in the actual municipality of Encarnación.

This hacienda or puesto de San Miguel de los Alba, depended on the village of the Asuncion de las Aguascalientes and their inhabitants were obligated to be baptized, married and buried in the parish of this village (you can know who lived their by checking the microfilms of the Iglesia del Sagrario de Aguascalientes, corresponding to the XVII and XVIII century). In 1752 a chapel was built dedicated to San Miguel Arcangel in this hacienda, with donations from Miguel de Alba and Cristobal Villaseñor, beginning to beginning to function as a vicariate, carrying books and registrations of baptisms that were made until the year of 1778, date in which said hacienda goes on to form part of the parish of in that passes this country property to be part of the parish of Nuestra Señora de la Encarnacion de los Macias (before named el Sauz de los Macias)

After the death of Don Alonso Alva, his hacienda continued in ownership by his descendants, the Alva family, until the begingings of the century. XX. during this time the residents and surnames grew through marriage connections.

And all were devoted to the agriculture and and cattle raising to supply the trade with the north of the country.

Romos in Jalisco

Well... first of all I want to welcome some new member that have express ther interest in the Romo line, like Ricci and also join some others with the same interest like Daniel Mendez and Luis Jaime..but of course anybody who wants to join the line research is welcome as well..!!!
Well I have been working on my second line which is "Gutierrez" with some succes and it got me all the way back to my ancestor Diego Gonzalez on the 16th Century but on the other hand I have been in a dead end on my Romo line because of the lack of registers to confirm some data.. Here is what I have got and if any of you have any common names please let me know!!...
Well I have that my Greatfather is Clemente Romo he is the youngest of 15 siblings, their parents were, Jose de Jesus Romo which married Elpidia Jimenez in Encarnacion de Diaz Jalisco on Aug 11 1887, He was born abt 1857 according to one picture that I have from him, I know from the marriage record that his parents were Juan Nepomuceno and Ramona Jimenez and that they married on Sep 24 1856 in Encarnacion de Diaz, Jalisco but the problem starts here the records of marriage information from Encarnacion have a gap between 1847 and 1857 and so far I haven't got any luck finding new information .........is someone in the group researching this periiod???? any help would be very appreciatted ..
Regards!!!
