Looking for direct male descendant of Diego ROMO son of Diego ROMO DE VIVAR

Looking for direct male descendant of Diego ROMO (abt. 1630) son of Diego ROMO DE VIVAR (1589-1650) with family tree showing direct male connections.

Also looking for any direct male descendants of Diego's male siblings, which as far as I know are:

Juan ROMO (Abt. 1632)
Pedro ROMO (b.1632 Ags, Mx)
Geronimo ROMO
Francisco ROMO (Abt. 1644)

Please feel free to correct any of my dates or information.

I am a direct descendant of Diego ROMO DE VIVAR (1589-1650) and would like to connect my research. If you have had your yDNA tested it would be great. If not, I'm willing to pay for your yDNA to be tested.

Thanks primos!

I did not find his parents mentioned in the wedding records (maybe I missed it) so I started looking for his IM. I have been unsuccessful because the records are quite mixed up. I have provided my research of mapping the pages and the dates maybe I missed it. Has anyone found the parents names for Nicolas Contreras. Thanks to all.

Locating a "libro reservado" in baptismal records, Asuncion de Maria, Aguascalientes

In reviewing the digital copy of an indexed baptism, the priest indicated that the names of the parents and the grandparents paternos and maternos were located in the "libro reservado," Checking several pages in front of and behind this record, I could not locate another record in which the priest referred to the "libro reservado." This record was indexed and the indexer listed the names of the parents and the grandarents, which I have located in other records, however there is a discrepancy with the surname of the maternal grandmother.

"México, Aguascalientes, registros parroquiales, 1620-1962," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-266-11811-102828-20?cc=1502404… : accessed 18 September 2015), Aguascalientes > Asunción de María > Bautismos 1861-1862 > image 470 of 504; parroquias Católicas, Aguascalientes (Catholic Church parishes, Aguascalientes).

If, as the record is indexed, Jose Pedro is the son of Franciso Luebano and Cleofas Prieto, then his marriage record indicates that he was the hijo legtm of Francisco Luebano y Cleofas Prieto, so I don't think I am looking for a book of baptisms for "hijos naturals."

I'm hoping that someone can direct me to the location of the "libro researvdo," and offer an understanding of this term.

Thank you,

I was at the LDS Center tonight and finished reviewing the remainder of the microfilm number 0169054. The last 50 pages year 1699 about "Hacienda De La Concepcion" Villa De Aguascalientes, Jurisdicion de Teocaltiche. Something about que se vendio a Alonso Hernandez

I wrote down some names I saw:

Capitan Alonso Ruiz Escamila
Capitan Pedro Antonio Gallardo

The majority of the microfilm is about "Hacienda Palomas" of Juchipila

I am finished with that microfilm

To Find Don Fernando Campa y Cos "Pasajero" document in archives

I am trying to find when Don Fernando De La Campa y Cos traveled by ship to Nuevo Espana (Mexico). I know that he shows up in the records when in 1693 he was recommended by the Alcalde of Sombrerete Antonio Guiterrez De Teran to protect Sombrerete.

Don Fernando was born in Burgos, Spain in 1676 so to show up in Sombrerete in 1693 makes him 17 years old. But so far that is the earliest he is mentioned.

He would have had to travel by ship sometime in 1693 or before.

So in the Pars website:

http://www.archivesportaleurope.net/web/guest

I do a search for "Pasajeros" then I filter by years on the left side. I get a long list of documents to choose from. Then those documents have lists of passenger names on each Navio that traveled to Nuevo Espana (Mexico).

Many of those names don't appear on a description that you can just look up in search. You have to read the list of names within the document.

El nombre de Don Fernando creo que esta enterrado en uno de esos listas y se tiene que leer lo para ver si sale.

Juan Alonso de los Inojos & Isabel Ramirez

Can anyone tell me whether the names of the parents of Isabel Ramirez appears in the marriage record of Juan Alonso de los Inojos, son of Pedro Alonso de los Inojos and Ana Domingues, with Isabel Ramirez, that took place on 22 May 1652 in Sta Maria de los Lagos, Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco (Batch M604121 Source 0221404)? In short, I want to figure out if this Isabel Ramirez is the daughter of Pedro Alonso Pedrozo-Hermosillo and Paula Torres?

Sincerely

Jaime Alvarado

Does anyone know where to find Bautimos (1665 - 1678) Santo Domingo Church of Zacatecas Ciudad?

I am talking to a Cronista of Zacatecas (historian) who is asking me if I know where bautismo records of the years 1665 - 1678 of the Santo Domingo Church of Ciudad Zacatecas, Mexico can be accessed?

Does anyone know. I looked in the familysearch.org archives and they only have these churches of Ciudad Zacatecas:

Jesus, Sagrarios, San Tiburcio, Nuestra Senora de Guadalup y San Francisco

Does anyone know where to access the bautimos records of Santo Domingo Church years 1665 - 1678? Thank you.

Joseph Francisco Tejada Sandobal from Jerez

Hi,

I have been researching the Tejada line in Jerez and I found this Francisco Tejada, son of Juan Antonio Tejada and María Ascensión Sandobal.

First, I found a baptism record for him in Jerez, on 16/10/1757.

Then, I found another José Francisco Tejada (http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=mexico&id=I84…) who was married to María Francisca Saldívar Ortiz. Even though the parents are listed as José Tejada and Ascención Sandoval, on the translation for his son Cosme, it's stated that they were Antonio Tejada and María de la Ascención Sandoval.

Finally,I found a third José Francisco Tejada (http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=mexico&id=I84…) who was married to María Hilaria Martínez Díaz.

These 3 records could easily belong to the same person, as they match name and parent's names, also, the timeline is possible.

Does anyone has any further information about this person or the Tejada line in general?

Thank you in advance.

Titles in Marriage Record

I came across my 2X great grandfather's marriage record, Anastacio Lopez and Urcina Arrieta. They were married in Jalpa, Zacatecas on September 4, 1836. I am wondering what the capital C stands for in front of his name and the MADAM or MADAME title in front of the bride's name. I noticed that the surrounding records do not have the same pattern.

Thank you for your help!

Fernando, Antonio and Pedro (De La Campa y Cos)

Don Fernando De La Campa y Cos was he Conde of Hacienda San Mateo, Valparaiso, Zacatecas, Mexico. Supposedly he was born in 1676 in Burgos, Spain and I have been trying to find his pasajero de indias.

Some historians of Zacatecas say he arrived to Sombrerete, Zacatecas, Mexico in 1693. That would make him 17 years old and if he traveled as a kid on boat, he mostly likely was accompanied by adult. The adult would have his name registered in the pasajero de indias and one would have to read that document with hopes of finding Fernando De La Campa y Cos as a companion for being a kid.

Now, I was also told that his brother Antonio De La Campa Y Cos was the one that brought him over to Nueva Galicia. But I went into the Pars website and find:

Refernce code to enter: GUADALAJARA,44,N.6

http://www.archivesportaleurope.net/web/guest

Document is dated 3/14/1675 and 14 pages long.

Brief description: "Expediente de Confirmación del oficio de teniente de capitán general del real y minas de Sombrerete a Antonio de la Campa Cos. Resuelto"

Fernando De La Campa y Cos wasn't even born in 1675.

I was reading the first page and it mentions "Pedro De La Campa" and decided to look him up.

Reference code: INDIFERENTE,125,N.18

That document is 4 pages long and dated 2/28/1675

bried description: "Relación de Méritos y servicios de Pedro de la Campa Cos, Teniente de Capitán General de las costas de Nueva Galicia"

What did Rey Carlos De La Gracias De Dios have to do with Sombrerete in 1684?

On image 44 of this document:

Reference No. GUADALAJARA,44,N.24

Pars website:

http://www.archivesportaleurope.net/web/guest

It mentions Rey Carlos De La Gracias De Dios, Antonio Cos, Hacienda de Sombrerete.

Did the Rey visit Sombrerete? This is a painting of what he looks like:

http://oi61.tinypic.com/2zr1h8w.jpg

On Image 55 it mentions "Antonio De Deza Y Ulloa"

Was he also in Sombrerete, Zacatecas, Mexico in 1684?

He was the founder of Chihuahua and there is a statue of him.

genealogy errors-Confused

I am sorry for the confusion
Juan Manuel casillas and Juana Maria Valdivia are the parents of jose thomas casillas

jose antonio salgado and Ma de san Joseph de la paz are the parents of maria gertrudis Salgado

Jose thomas Casillas and maria gertrudis salgado are the parents of jose maria casillas

Also i have discovered that I am related to steve hernandez throughDomingo hernandez gamino illegitimate daughter Catalina hernandez who was married to Francisco Velasquez with descendency in tepatitlan and the valle de gpe. I did not know of this relationship before because I thought that I descended from a second wife but further investigation reveals that I most likely descend from the first wife of juan climaco suazo, Phelicana Belasquez who descends from catalina Hernandez. I need to verify and will do so by pulling marriage record.
Steven hernandez Lopez is related to my mother in law often.

That is correct. most genealogy books have the jose maria Casillas married to lugarda villalpando from ayo el chico/arandas as the parents. both couples married in 1788.Even you had that info until I told you that I speculated that it was wrong based on the info I had but that I did not have proof. I have that proof now. the other Jose maria casillas was the son of Jose de san Ramon Casillas and Magdalena Gonzalez Hermosillo

Hi tocayo, can you please tell us what these two dates are so we can compare
our notes with yours? I have Jose Thomas Casillas and Maria Gertrudis
Salgado as Jose Maria Casillas Salgado's parents, and Salvador de
Villalpando and Josefa Margarita Muñoz de la Barba as Maria Lugarda's
