Just wanted to let anyone who is researching in Jerez Zacatecas Mexico that I am working on Baptisms 1836 to 1840 #0439851. If anyone needs a look up please let me know. I'd be happy to check for you. I'm finding it to be a very important film for his area of research since the years from 1841 to 1866 are missing. I would also be glad to share whatever film information I have for this area. I can send an atttachment of whatever films I have copied. You can contact me directly at longsjourney@hotmail.com.
If someone has this film I'd appreciate a look up:

We appear to agree....the point, I think, is the "era" of acceptance...and
increasing change of the demographics of Mexico throughout the centuries.
Thank you for the article...interesting read.
Hola Bill...
I will try again. Please someone tell me I got through. If I did I can then send my info. Thank you. Esther

On the "lighter" side:
Thanks to my primos here at NuestrosRanchos who helped me confirm my DE LEON family tree I was able to find a couple of "fun-facts".
1. Even though my parents were double-related as cousins., I was able to connect them (triple-cousins) to Martin de Enriqyes ( b. abt. 1675). My father Elias de Leon (1904-1999) is his direct 8th descendant (12 generations) and my mother Maria Carlos (1909-1992) is his 9th direct descendant (13 generations). Double Whammy! Am I my mother's equal cousin ????
I haven't fully checked out this site but if you type in "Mexico" in the
search engine you'll come up with several pages of art and who knows
what other things might be found:

Bill,

Does anyone have a good source for old newspaper Obituaries? I am looking for an obituary that would have been posted about six years ago.
Also, has anyone ever used this service:

You mean the Visigoths coming to Spain during the middle ages, right?
The Celts, according to this article (and others I have read) had settled
in Spain even prior to the Romans who came around 200 B.C.
