Dear Primos and Friends
Thank you to all who have submitted articles for February. I am always delighted with the variety and scope of the materials I receive. I even received a Texas Valentine story to share from Refugio and Sally Fernandez. That was really fun.
With the focus and emphasis on personal stories, I have the opportunity of sharing stories from books and manuscripts sent to me over the years.
It is joyful reading.
For those of you who have not yet gotten started with writing personal memoirs, let me challenge you to the task. You will be amazed at what you can remember.
With the bizarre weather we are having, maybe there are some weather incidents that trigger a memory. I remember during one rain storm in a rented Los Angeles house, pots and pans all over the floor; the drips, interestingly made a different sound. I also remember the extreme fog in Central California. You literally could not see your hand in front of your face.
Oh yes . . California earthquakes. Write your stories down for your children, nieces and nephews to enjoy. The stories don't have to be long, just a few paragraphs is fine.. . who, what, when.
God bless, Mimi
